The Mooseheart Stadium/Fieldhouse, built in the late 1940's is in dire need of a "re-birth" and the Ohio State Moose Association, at its 80th Annual Convention August 13-16, 2008 has officially taken on this important $3 Million project.

The Stadium/Fieldhouse complex is the one place where most of the key memories of a child/teen’s time growing up at Mooseheart occur.  From athletic events to honors/awards programs, fifth grade promotion to high school graduation, from community gatherings to school assemblies, from NJROTC annual inspections to recreation activities – the Fieldhouse takes center stage.

With the gymnasium, stadium bleachers and electrical/HVAC equipment all being more than forty years old and a concrete stadium structure that was built in the late 1940’s, this will be one of the most comprehensive and celebrated projects since the House of God was built in the late 1940’s.

Here is a summary of what we would look to accomplish –

Interior –estimate $1,100,000

  1. New tile flooring over concrete in Concession stand hallway
  2. Hot water Pump Replacement
  3. Heat Exchanger Replacement
  4. Domestic Water Heater Replacement
  5. New Emergency and Exit Lighting
  6. Fire Alarm System Replacement
  7. Concession and Corridor Air Handler Replacement
  8. Gymnasium Air Handler Replacement
  9. Water-cooled Condenser Replacement
  10. HVAC Terminal Unit Replacement
  11. Upgrade Electrical Distribution Panels
  12. Electrical Service Upgrade
  13. Domestic Water Piping Replacement
  14. Plumbing Trim and Select Fixture Replacement
  15. Drinking Fountain Installations
  16. Sound System Replacement
  17. Restroom Handicap Accessibility Remodeling
  18. Handrail and Guardrail Replacement

Exterior- estimate $1,950,000

  1. Stadium Guard Rail and Handrail Replacement
  2. Gymnasium Pre-cast Concrete Wall Panel Repairs
  3. Roof Replacement over Gymnasium, Main Corridor and Concession Hallway
  4. Concrete Retaining Wall Repair
  5. Stadium Seating Concrete Structure Renovations
  6. Stadium Window Replacement
  7. Exterior Wooden Tunnel Door Replacement
  8. Stadium Bleacher Seat Replacement
  9. Outdoor Running Track Repair/Recoating
  10. Installation of Field Turf Playing Surface
